Help Saad and his family in Gaza

I am helping to raise funds for my friend Saad, who lives in Gaza with his wife and 3 children. Saad asked me to start this fundraiser on his behalf.
In October 2023, they were displaced from their home in the south of Gaza. Finding food and water is very difficult, due to the aid blockade put in place.
Saad’s leg was injured in a bombing in January 2025 and he had surgery, but it was not successful and he is in pain every day.
Saad’s wife is pregnant and they are worried about malnutrition of themselves and their children.
They desperately need support through donations, so they can buy food and medicine.
All donations will be sent to Saad through PayPal.

Saad has contacted me this morning asking for urgent funds for medical care for a member of his family who is in extreme pain. He needs $160US for treatment, which is about $255 Australian. I have most of this amount ready to send him, through my own money and donations from others, but we need to get the final $80 as soon as possible.
If everyone here gave just a few dollars, we would easily reach that target.

Hello everyone, and thank you for your previous support of Saad and his family. Saad was able to secure some flour after your recent donations and purchase as bag of flour for his family.
After being displaced many times, Saad, Umayya and their 3 children have been living in tents. Umayya is pregnant with a baby boy and Saad has managed to find someone with an apartment available for rent. This apartment will provide protection from the elements and some privacy for their growing family. It would be lovely for Umayya to feel safe and secure in a building as she approaches the end of her pregnancy, rather than in the flimsy walls of a tent.
In order to secure this rent, Saad needs to provide 2 months of rent upfront, which is $500US. Rent will be $250US a month ongoing, so we are asking people to consider recurring monthly donations that fit within your budget. If we can get enough people to do this, it will relieve the pressure from the family to have to ask for donations constantly.
Please consider doing this, even if it is only $5 a month, if many people contribute, it will make a huge difference for this family.
I have not heard from Saad for the last 4 days, since Israel destroyed the mobile network that many people in Gaza relied on to communicate with people outside of Gaza and receive much needed funds. I am still raising money for Saad and his family, in the hopes that the internet will be up again soon and I can transfer it to him. When I last spoke to Saad on Tuesday, he said he and his family had not eaten since the first day of Eid, 5 days earlier… Please, keep donating and sharing this fundraiser with others.
